As per the findings held to control the occurrence of thyroid diseases, both subclinical and clinical within pregnant females, this disease is one of the very prevalent endocrine problems females faced while pregnancy.

This study was conducted from King George Medical University, Lucknow and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi within six hundred thirty three females during their 2^nd trimester.

Every subject went under the obstetrical investigation routine and after that TSH levels were examined and its result proved that occurrence of thyroid dysfunction was much with subclinical by hypothyroidism in six point forty seven per cent and obvious hypothyroidism in four point fifty eight per cent females.

If pregnant female is going through hypothyroidism then she is at high risk of getting miscarriage and undiagnosed hypothyroidism close to delivery time is in severe of premature delivery and growing high blood pressure. Woman who was undiagnosed from hypothyroidism, her babies might not capture their complete logical potential.

But right now there is medical consensus over urgency and importance of examining hypothyroidism while pregnancy. Quick treatment and diagnosis are of supreme prominence in avoiding mortality and fetal and maternal morbidity, as per recent report.

According to Prof R.V.Jayakumar who is president of The Indian Thyroid Society, majority of pregnant mothers give very much attention towards their blood pressure, diet, frequent check-ups, and exercise than they should give to thyroid test. I will request Indian females to too go for obligatory thyroid check-up to confirm a good and healthy life for their new coming child. Within India, despite creating much awareness about well-being and health, people is still occurs a requirement for pregnant mothers in specific to be doing aware of severe of thyroid dysfunction. Additional, it is too essential to test thyroid functions in infected females facing lipid imbalance, as it too can be result of thyroid dysfunction.
